OK, so I managed to port a rom to this device. I thought I would share my experience as it may help others.

Ensure all drivers are installed before any flashing procedures.

Things needed;

GOOGLE - FOR INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO INSTALL DRIVERS OR USE THE BELOW TOOLS

TOOLS
WINRAR; WinRAR Official
SP Flash Tool [flashing original firmware/custom recovery; LINK
MTK DroidTool v2.5.3 [general tools, imei reader/fixer, partition block reader + more - NOT NEEDED UNLESS PORTING YOUR OWN ROM]; LINK
KingRoot; KingRoot Official

SYSTEM IMAGE UNPACK - NOT NEEDED UNLESS PORTING YOUR OWN ROM
[system image/rom porting]
Ext2explore v2.2.71; LINK

ADB TERMINAL

DRIVERS
I recommend using PdaNet+ to install drivers, download, install follow instruction. It can be found here === PdaNet Official

OR SELF INSTALL

VCOM drivers; LINK

FILES
Stock Firmware; LINK

CUSTOM ROMS
Stock Modded; LINK
PussyFap v2.5; LINK

ROOTING
simply install and run kingroot.apk and follow instructions.

CUSTOM RECOVERY
required; SP Flash Tool, Original Firmware, Custom recovery [available above]

Unzip the original firmware.
Unzip custom recovery

replace custom recovery with recovery image in the original firmware folder.

Open SP Flash, select scatter file from original firmware folder and press download in application.

Now let's connect device and flash. . . . . . . . . .

Pull battery from phone, connect the usb, sp flash tool will recognise and flash the firmware, wait until complete and remove usb.

Restart phone. . . . .

. . . . . TAKES 10-15MINS. TO REBOOT . . . . .

Now stock firmware & custom recovery installed.

REPLACE STOCK FIRMWARE
!!USE THE ABOVE TO RESTORE STOCK FIRMWARE, JUST DO NOT REPLACE THE RECOVERY IN STOCK AND FLASH AS ABOVE!!

CUSTOM ROMS

STOCK MODDED + ROOTED CUSTOM ROM (MODDED ROM)
Flash in SP Flash Tool, replace recovery first with custom one then flash, stock firmware with tweaks and root.

PUSSY FAP V2.5 + ROOTED CUSTOM ROM (PORTED ROM)
This a rom I ported, works well, no major bugs. Good UI, responsive and 5.1.1 based
needs custom recovery to flash
Put file on external sd card, reboot to custom recovery, install from zip and select file.
wipe cache and dalvik restart phone

known bugs;
1-screen lock sometimes crashes after google services update - disable screen lock
2-none noticed
