Changing MAC Address of the Nexus 5X

Hey guys!
I wanted to change the MAC address of my N5X like I used to on the N4. I change the MAC successfully, but there's something preventing me from joining any wireless network. If somebody gets it to work please reply here. Here's what I discovered so far:

WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini    : lines 46-50; interface 0-3 MAC addresses
WCNSS_cfg.dat    : nothing I could find

Note that the addresses in WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini are "Assigned MAC Addresses - will be used until NV items are in place".
