WhatsApp Co-founder Confirms No Plans for Public API

At the F8 Developer’s conference in San Francisco, Whatsapp co-founder Brian Acton was asked whether Whatsapp would release its own API to allow third-party developers to officially develop compatible products. Acton informed that there are no plans to do so, as they do want to compromise user experience.
